Soft Recoil Technology revolutionizes artillery systems by significantly reducing the recoil forces generated during firing, allowing powerful weapons to be mounted on lighter, more mobile platforms. Unlike traditional systems that rely on heavy frames to absorb recoil, soft recoil mechanisms delay the firing sequence until the barrel is moving forward, dampening the force and minimizing stress on the platform. This breakthrough not only extends the service life of the vehicle but also enhances stability, accuracy, and crew safety during rapid fire missions.

Ideal for expeditionary and mobile operations, soft recoil is scalable technology enables lighter platforms to carry large-caliber weapons without sacrificing maneuverability. By removing the need for trailers with bulky manual support structures or stabilizers, it supports faster deployment, quicker repositioning, and reduced logistical burden. Whether in harsh environments or high-intensity conflict zones, soft recoil systems empower smaller, more agile units to deliver big firepower with precision and confidence.

FLEXIBLE +
SCALABLE
Allows the weapon to be mounted on a smaller, lighter platform for greater maneuverability, both tactically and strategically

Allows the weapon to be emplaced and displaced quickly to reduce the firing mission time and increase survivability

Allows for greater systems / firepower on the battlefield by reducing the overall cost of the weapon system

Adaptable for all large caliber direct / indirect fire weapon systems

HOW SRT
WORKS
STEP 1:
The cannon is released from the “latch” position and moves forward to a predetermined run-up distance

STEP 2:
Upon run-up distance, the system fires and uses a hybrid soft recoil system to absorb forces and return the cannon to the “latch” position using the concept of conservation of momentum to significantly reduce recoil forces
