Soft Recoil Technology's shoot-and-scoot capability creates modernized artillery that is lightweight and mobile allowing for quick and constant movement that has become necessary for survival.

Artillery survival on the modern battlefield is more difficult than ever. Towed howitzers are being destroyed because they can’t emplace and displace fast enough to avoid counter-battery fire and drones. While Tanks are the most armored weapons on the battlefield they are being destroyed by relatively inexpensive shoulder-fired weapons and drones.

FLEXIBLE +
SCALABLE
Allows the weapon to be mounted on a smaller, lighter platform for greater maneuverability, both tactically and strategically

Allows the weapon to be emplaced and displaced quickly to reduce the firing mission time and increase survivability

Allows for greater systems / firepower on the battlefield by reducing the overall cost of the weapon system

Adaptable for all large caliber direct / indirect fire weapon systems

HOW SRT
WORKS
STEP 1:
The cannon is released from the “latch” position and moves forward to a predetermined run-up distance

STEP 2:
Upon run-up distance, the system fires and uses a hybrid soft recoil system to absorb forces and return the cannon to the “latch” position using the concept of conservation of momentum to significantly reduce recoil forces
