Jim Cannon Joins CEO Coalition for Change

In Community + Industry by Lizbeth Carpenter

Jim Cannon, AM General’s President and CEO, has recently joined the Michigan-based CEO Coalition for Change.

The CEO Coalition for Change is a peer group of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) from commercial automotive, defense industry, and DOD government leaders who work together to identify, implement, and share Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) best practices, benchmarks, and strategies.

The coalition provides broad insight to the obstacles facing organizations in today’s work environment, specifically in the areas of recruitment and retention. Information and data discussed in the group is confidential and shared only between coalition members. Members of the coalition meet regularly to share their organization’s DEI plans, activities, achievements, and roadblocks. The goal of the coalition is to make long-lasting and sustainable change that result in a diverse, equitable and inclusive industry.
AM General’s involvement in the CEO Coalition is an opportunity to collaborate with other industry leaders on best-in-class strategies that result in improved workplace cultures.

The coalition consists of leaders whose goal is to strive for a transparent, engaging, and inclusive workplace. We thank Jim for his commitment to join this outstanding organization and engaging with his peers on advancing a workplace culture of mutual respect and engagement.
