AM General Names John Chadbourne as President and CEO to Lead New Era of Innovation

South Bend, IN, March 13, 2026 – Leading military mobility solutions provider AM General named John Chadbourne as President and CEO, effective March 27, 2026. Mr. Chadbourne succeeds Jim Cannon, who is taking on a new opportunity outside of AM General but will continue his relationship with the company.

Mr. Chadbourne has been at AM General for over seven years and was previously the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for driving enterprise growth and operational execution. Prior to joining AM General, John served in the U.S. Army for 30 years, with leadership assignments that included serving as Director of Joint Logistics (J4) for all U.S. Forces in Afghanistan and Director of Materiel in the Headquarters of the Army (G-8). John retired from the Army at the rank of Colonel. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of North Georgia, a Master of Science degree in Systems Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a master’s degree in strategic studies from the Army War College.
