As we continue to expand and strengthen our partnerships in the region, we will use DSEi 2015 as an opportunity to engage current and potential customers, listen to their unique needs and offer them the most innovative, affordable mobility solutions available today to meet their demands, said AM General Vice President, Business Development and Strategy, Larry Platt.

AM General Exhibit Highlights:

Multi-Role Light Tactical Vehicle (MLTV) – A testament to the more than 50 years of Light Tactical Vehicle innovation and evolution to meet the unique requirements of our global customer base, the MLTV provides a superior advantage to customers who demand a cost-effective, dependable tactical vehicle. The company’s expertise in armor protection, powertrains, chassis, suspensions, systems integration and life-cycle sustainment allows it to meet and support the unique LTV requirements our global customers demand at an affordable price.

International 205 hp Upgrade Option – AM General’s International 205 Upgrade Option for the M1100 series HMMWV family of vehicles increases the HMMWV’s horsepower by ten percent, engine torque by fifteen percent and substantially increases vehicle payload. The International 205 Upgrade Option performance components include the 205 Optimzer 6500 V-8 diesel engine and the higher load capacity 4L85 automatic transmission with tuned control module. Also included are improved brakes, a large, single front-mounted air conditioning condenser, higher geared engine fan drive and a new suspension package.

The 205 Upgrade option package has performed flawlessly in operational tests in the Empty Quarter of the Arabia desert where temperatures routinely exceeded 50 degrees Celsius. This test confirmed, in one of the harshest environments in the world, that the new International 205 Upgrade Option outshines the competition in performance and durability.
